I totally forgot about putting a post it note under my boss’ mouse yesterday until I heard him come in this morning, and then start cussing and fussing and slamming said mouse.

I had to run in the shop to keep him from hearing me bust out laughing.

Kinja'd!!!

I think tomorrow he’ll come into a left-handed mouse. Or possibly a Dvorak keyboard.

My uncle welded his bosses chair to a bolt in the floor. He always ran and jumped into his chair to slide across the room. Not that time.

Have you found alternate employment, then?

Other than that, carry on. How about the “Upside-down Desktop 2.0"?

Standard ctrl+alt+down arrow, but first screenshot his desktop, rotate that 180degrees, disable desktop icons and hide the taskbar. He will effectively have a frozen desktop with inverted controls.

Best prank I’ve heard of personally:

Dad’s office has a smallish refrigerator placed near a wall with the door opening from the right (closest to the wall). The office manager asked him and another coworker to switch the swing on the door so it would open from the left (so you could swing the door open from the left and towards the wall, makes sense). They switched the hardware around, but thought it would be funny to put an old X-09 lock on the right side of the fridge, so people who didn’t know the hinges were reversed would pull from the right side, find the fridge was not opening, and then try to spin up the lock and guess the combo. He said they had about a week until everyone figured out the door swung open from the other side now.

My best was taking a months worth of paper hole punches and dropping them into the vents on a superintendent’s truck. He turns on the heat and is instantly confetti’d.

The worst that happened to me was going on a job site, must have been my first time because I had on a pair of Johnston & Murphy shoes. The superintendent told me to walk out onto the site and take a look around, and as I got towards the back of the site I stepped right into about a foot of mud. That fucker had told an excavator operator to skim off about 6" of the soil on site and fill it with mud for me to step in, which is a super shitty way to initiate the new office desk jockey.

He’s constantly in a bad mood anyway and I’m only here until I’m done with school.

Dvorak keyboard would be awesome! I would say I’m surprised anyone else knows what that is, but Oppo is an eclectic bunch.

My dad had a few good ones at his old construction job. One guy would literally run out every day at the end of shift, grabbing his lunch box off the top of a tool chest as he went by. My dad bolted it to the chest one day, so as the guy ran by and grabbed it, he pulled the whole chest over, spilling wrenches and screwdrivers and stuff everywhere.

Another guy would go through peoples lunches and take a bite out of their sandwiches. So one my dad saved the dead mice they caught in the mouse traps in the switch gear. He then made a mouse sandwich, with the little heads stick out from the bread. The guy unwrapped his sandwich and my dad could hear him screaming from across the job site.

My dad, grandpa, uncle and thus quite a few friends were in construction... makes for interesting stories. One was very similar to that, the guy who was always first to run off got his luch screwed down. More spectacular though, would be the guy who was on the scaffolding and had his boots screwed down from below...

I put an Annoy-O-tron on my bosses desk a few jobs ago. His cubicle had a metal trim around the top and the AoT has a magnet. Put it right on the back edge of the top trim piece. Never did find it.

He had called my coworker buddy about something and heard it beeping and thought his phone was about to die. This was on a landline handset.

He wasn’t the brightest person, but was very good at denying anyone else’s ideas, stealing them, then taking credit for them.

I got fired after a about a year there. Miserable place to work. Old boss is still there. I’ve moved on to much bigger things.

I was reading up oh on mobile on the shitter yesterday. This post was apparently my inspiration. I don’t remember doing it because I was on drugs yesterday.

I had my boot on and had taken a Vicodin in the morning because my tendinitis was flaring up.
